Dr Marc Tay is the Senior Consultant, Ophthalmologist at The LASIK Surgery Clinic, a Singapore Medical Group (SMG) clinic.

Dr Tay is an experienced ophthalmologist who has been practising for 25 years. He has been doing laser refractive surgery for 20 years and has a special interest in this field (refractive surgery/laser vision correction).

He was a founding member of the Laser Vision Centre, Singapore National Eye Centre when laser vision correction technology was first introduced into Singapore.

Dr Marc Tay has received several awards including the Liberation of Kuwait Medal (1991), the British Gulf War Medal (1991), the Overseas Service Medal (Operational) SAF (1991), the Singapore Surgical Society Book Prize (1984) and the Royal Free Hospital Exchange Programme Award (1983).

Professional Positions and Memberships

Dr Tay worked at the Eye Department of the Singapore General Hospital, the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, the Toa Payoh Hospital and the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). He was a member of the Founding Group of Refractive Laser Surgeons when LASIK was first introduced at SNEC. He was also the past Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, East Shore Hospital, and the Credentialing Committee Chairman of East Shore Hospital.  Dr Tay is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow and  the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
