Professional Statement

Dr Marco is a Plastic Surgeon, practicing at Mount Elizabeth Novena. He graduated from the School of Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil in 1978 and achieved professional recognition and certification in Plastic Surgery in 1984.

As a worldwide pioneer in endoscopic plastic surgery, Dr Marco first came to Singapore for transferring knowledge and to conduct workshops and surgical demonstrations.  After 4 years, he was invited again by the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgery to present his techniques in “Refinements in Liposculpture with patient in Standing Position” as well as updating on “Endoscopic Plastic Surgery. During this period, Dr Marco was already attracting many overseas patients to do plastic surgery in Singapore. Under the Singapore “Hunting for Talents” programme, Dr Marco was invited to work in Singapore to attract more international patients and to make Singapore a Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Hub.

Dr Marco obtained a conditional Certificate of Medical Registration from the Singapore Medical Council in 2000 and the Certificate of Specialist Registration in Plastic Surgery in April 2002. In March 2002, he also received the Certificate of Specialist Accreditation from the Ministry of Health, Singapore.

Dr Marco then obtained his full registration with the Singapore Medical Council in 2005. He has won several international awards for his pioneering work in Endoscopic Abdominoplasty and Breast Surgery. He is also frequently invited to conduct surgical demonstrations and to impart his knowledge on his special techniques. Dr Marco has published many journals and book chapters relating to the field of plastic & cosmetic surgery.

Dr Ng is a consultant plastic surgeon with a strong interest in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Professional Statement

Dr Seah obtained his basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore. He was trained in plastic surgery at the Singapore General Hospital. He had further training in 1991 in microsurgical reconstruction at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei on a Microsurgical Fellowship. 

Dr Seah was awarded the Singapore Health Manpower Development Plan Fellowship in 1992/93 and underwent advanced training in plastic surgery at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston and at the Harbourview Medical Center, Seattle. He was admitted as a Fellow in Plastic Surgery to the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1994. He was also accredited as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery by the Singapore Ministry of Health and by the Singapore Medical Council. 

While serving in his capacity as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital, he took charge of the National Burns Center and played a key role in the set up of the skin culture laboratory as well as the intensive care beds and the operating theatre within the Burns Center in 1994. He was a key member of the team that provides microsurgical reconstruction for lower limb trauma, head and neck and jaw reconstruction. 

Besides reconstructive surgery, Dr Seah has special interest in Aesthetic Surgery of the face and body. This include endoscopic as well as minimally invasive surgery. He also keeps abreast of non-invasive Aesthetic Medical treatments. He is particularly passionate about breast reconstruction following mastectomy for breast cancer as he was a key member of the team that pioneered breast reconstruction in Singapore in the 90s.

Dr. Leslie Kuek, a certified plastic surgeon, is registered with the Singapore Academy of Medicine. He was the president of the Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgeons till 2003, and was also the former president of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons. 

Dr. Leslie Kuek graduated with a basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and obtained his advanced surgery degrees from the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh & Glasgow in 1986. In 1989, he won the Young Surgeon’s Award for best scientific research. Dr Leo Kah Woon is a Ministry of Health accredited consultant Plastic Surgeon. He graduated from Medical School at the National University of Singapore. Thereafter he completed his Plastic Surgery training at the Singapore General Hospital. He was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for being the top candidate in his cohort. He completed a one year Fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle, where he trained under the world –renowned Prof Peter Neligan. Dr Colin Tham is a consultant plastic surgeon in private practice.  He is accredited and recognised as a specialist plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon by the Singapore Ministry of Health. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 1992.  Dr Tham proceeded with his basic and advanced specialty training in plastic surgery with the Singapore General Hospital and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland) in 1999.  He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) and a committee member for the Singapore Chapter of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

Dr Colin Tham subspecialised in the field of aesthetics from early in his career.  In 2003, he was awarded a government Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) grant for a fellowship in Oriental Aesthetic Surgery at the prestigious ChangGung Memorial Hospital (Taiwan).  In 2005, he set up the Aesthetic Centre in Singapore’s premier KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where he still returns as a visiting consultant.  Dr Tham left the public sector in 2006 to join Asia HealthPartners, where he is currently the Director of the Aesthetics Division. Assoc. Professor Vincent Yeow was the Head of Department of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery of KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital and the Director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Centre as well as the Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Centres at KK Hospital, Singapore.

He is the immediate past president of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons. In recognition of his regional and international standing, Dr Yeow is also on the Executive Council of the Asian Pacific Craniofacial Society as well as the Asean Federation of Plastic Surgeons. Dr Yeow is also the only Singaporean to be accorded full membership to the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery.
