Dr Cheng Yew Kuang established the first immunotherapy service for insect venom allergy in Singapore. Dr Cheng is currently an Allergist and Rheumatologist in private practice. He remains a visiting consultant with both the National University Hospital (NUH) and Changi General Hospital (CGH) where he continues with public service, developing the specialty of allergy and rheumatology. 

Dr
Cheng is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, where he continues to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Dr Chiang Wen Chin specializes in paediatric allergy & immunology. She is presently a visiting Consultant at the Department of Paediatrics Allergy at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in conjunction with her private practice at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. At the hospital, she was involved in the launching of the sublingual immunotherapy program and food and drug provocation programmes. Dr Chiang treats children with allergy and immunity problems.  Dr Chiang treats and manages children with food allergies, asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, drug allergies, sublingual immunotherapy and immunodeficiency. 

Dr Chiang Wen Chin obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Nottingham University, United Kingdom. She completed her Paediatric training in Bristol and Great Ormond Street, United Kingdom. She obtained her specialist qualifications of Master of Medicine in Paediatrics and membership to the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom). She has also been conferred Fellowship by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology.

Dr Chiang held the position of Consultant of the Department of Paediatric Medicine. She is presently an Adjunct Associate Professor of Duke NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore and Tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

Dr Chiang was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme Fellowship from the Ministry of Health and underwent advanced training in Paediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Duke University, USA .

She is also a committee member of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society of Singapore, fellow of the Academy of the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Singapore Paediatric Society.
Her sub-speciality interest includes management of children with food allergies, asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, drug allergies, sublingual immunotherapy and immunodeficiency. She has helped set up the sublingual Immunotherapy program and food and drug provocation programs in KK Woman’s and Children’s Hospital.

Professional Statement

Dr Julian Lee Cheow Yew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1991. He served 2 years in the Singapore Armed Forces where he practiced aviation medicine and aeromedical evacuation. Having completed ENT residency, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998, the American Academy of Otalaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2001, and the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2002.

Dr Julian Lee received the Health Manpower Development Program Award from the Ministry of Health in 2002. The scholarship accorded him the privilege of training in the United States of America as a Fellow to Professor Frederick Kuhn, a pioneer and world leader in the field of Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Image-Guided Surgery, and Balloon Sinuplasty, at the Georgia Nasal and Sinus Institute. Upon his return, he established the busiest allergy and sinus surgery practice at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Dr Julian Lee has extensive experience in the assessment and management of ear, nose and throat conditions, and a special interest in advanced sinus surgery techniques including image-guided endoscopic sinus surgery, revision endoscopic sinus surgery for complex frontal sinus disease, anterior skull base surgery, balloon sinuplasty, inhalant allergy and immunotherapy, and maxillo-facial trauma.
