Professional Statement
Dr Audrey Looi completed her Ophthalmology training at
the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2000. She began her sub-specialty
training in Oculoplastic Surgery at the eye centre from 2001 to 2002.
Following this, Dr Looi was awarded HMDP funding to train further at the University
of British Columbia where she completed her fellowships in Oculoplastic,
Orbital and Ocular Pathology under the supervision of Prof Peter Dolman, Prof
Jack Rootman and Prof Valerie White respectively, returning to Singapore in
2004 with a Best Fellow research prize.

Dr Looi also served as Clinical Director of the General Eye Clinic at the Singapore National Eye Centre from 2012 to 2019. She was also a Visiting Consultant at the Kandang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Changi General Hospital and the National Neuroscience Institute. Dr Looi begun her private practice at Ava Eye Clinic in November 2019 with the aim to provide personalised and comprehensive general eye care inclusive of cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
