Dr Cheryl Lee is an implantable contact lens™, cataract and retinal eye specialist.  She brings back with her more than 10 year of ophthalmic experience from UK, USA and France. She is on the international expert training panel for the Implantable Contact Lens TM. Before returning to Singapore, Dr Cheryl Lee was a consultant retinal surgeon in the UK with special interests in diabetic eye disease and age related macular degeneration, vision correction for myopia and presbyopia, cataract, retinal surgery and implantable contact lens.

Dr Lee is also on the expert panel for for the Implantable Contact Lens™, the only lady doctor and South East Asian on the panel who trains the surgeons internationally. Dr Lee is a retinal surgeon, fully experienced in the management of cataracts, medical retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macula degeneration and ocular inflammatory disease like uveitis and dry eyes.

Dr Lee’s academic accolades include the Gold Medal and Book Prize in Ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore, the Marie Comer Anglian Prize in Ophthalmology from the University of Cambridge and she distinction in the Alcon Glaucoma UK Competition in 2005.

Dr Lee is an active speaker at the yearly European eye research conferences and is up to date with the best eye technology.

Dr Cheryl Lee Aeschlimann has been involved in laboratory research in retinal stem cells and was a clinical investigator for LUCENTIS® (ranibizumab injection) which has revolutionised the treatment of age related macular degeneration. She was also involved in European trials for macula hole surgery.
