Dr Daniel Tan Yat
Harn is a radiation oncologist currently practising at Gleneagles Hospital,
Singapore. He started his career as a radiation oncologist after graduating
from the National University of Singapore in 2002.
Dr Tan trained at international medical centres with a focus on neuro-oncology. This included proton therapy at the University of Pennsylvania’s Roberts Proton Therapy Centre, USA; spine radiosurgery at Princess Margaret Hospital and Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto; and advanced radiation technologies at Tokyo Metropolitan Komagome Hospital in Japan.

He was the organising chairman of the inaugural Radiology Asia 2015, a regional radiology meeting held in conjunction with the Singapore Radiological Society’s 24th Annual Scientific Meeting. He has frequently been invited to lecture on these subjects at regional meetings such as the Philippines Radiation Oncology Society Annual Meeting, the Annual Scientific Congress of the Malaysian Oncological Society, the Asia-Pacific Breast Cancer Summit and the International Society of Geriatric Oncology Asia Pacific Conference.
Dr Tan helms the clinical unit of Asian American Radiation Oncology (AARO), the radiotherapy and oncology division of Asian American Medical Group. In collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre (UPMC), AARO manages and provides clinical supervision for radiation oncology units in Asia, bringing cutting-edge radiation technologies to developing regions.
Dr Tan is currently pursuing his MBA in Healthcare Management at NUS because he believes that good medicine depends on good management.
